Sometimes the smallest things—a kind word, a simple gesture, a small gift—can spark hope. For one little girl, it was a bracelet.
Her life was upended when her mother went to jail, and she became trapped in a painful custody battle. Confused and unheard, she turned to her Court Appointed Juvenile Advocate (CAJA) who listened and fought for her best interest.
Before court, the girl handed her advocate a bracelet and asked them to wear it as a reminder of her wish: to live safely with her father and stepmother. The volunteer did just that. Thanks to their persistence and care, her wish came true.
This is just one story of hope made possible through United Way partner agencies. It is the kind of impact your gift helps create.
When you give through United Way, you make moments like this possible across Marshall County—providing safety, stability, and second chances for neighbors in need.
