Help stock the shelves of our local food pantries and non-profit partners to ensure no one in Marshall County has to go hungry this season!
United Way is collecting canned and non-perishable food items on Dec. 1 at the following grocery store locations throughout Marshall County:
- Albertville Foodland
- Arab Foodland
- Boaz Foodland
- Dennis Foodland in Grant
- Great Valu in Douglas
- Guntersville Foodland
- Warehouse Discount Grocery in Arab
Donate goods or stop by to make a monetary donation at any of these locations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 1. Proceeds will benefit Second Chance Food Pantry in Albertville, TESA Food Pantry in Arab, Grant First Baptist Church Food Pantry, and United Way partner agencies.
Don't know what to buy? Here are some suggested items:
- Peanut butter
- Jelly
- Canned soup or chili
- Boxed macaroni & cheese
- Bottled water
- Ramen noodles
- Pull-tab canned goods
- Canned meats
- Tea bags
- Coffee
- Coffee creamer
- Sugar
- Mini ravioli, Spaghetti-O’s, etc.
- Canned vegetables
- Pasta
- Spaghetti and other pasta sauce (preferably with meat)
- Salty and sweet snack foods
