Join us in celebrating 25 years of caring, Marshall County!

What is Day of Caring?

Day of Caring is our community's largest day of the year for volunteering, and is recognized as the official kickoff for United Way of Marshall County's annual giving campaign. Day of Caring brings together hundreds of volunteers from across the county to create a positive impact on nonprofits and human service providers helping our neighbors in need. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who lives or works in our community to gain a deeper understanding of local needs. You can sign up to assist with projects such as completing yardwork for partner agencies, reading to children, packing food bags for seniors, and more. Volunteers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate.

When? Join us on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

Our in person breakfast kicks off at 7:30 am at the Boaz Recreation Center, 400 Elizabeth Street, Boaz, AL.

ADOPT A PROJECT FOR OUR DAY OF CARING!

Each one of us CAN and DOES make a difference when we reach out a helping hand in our community. Join us! A variety of volunteer projects are available, including planting flowers, mulching, painting, organizing, and sorting donations for some amazing nonprofit agencies in Marshall County!

Why get involved?

Day of Caring is THE day to give back to various nonprofits in our community, there’s a great project waiting for you. Day of Caring takes place on September 13th.

We have three project categories to choose from:

Building, gardening, and general help (B Projects)
Collections and drives (C Projects)
Interactive and entertainment (E Projects)

DAY OF CARING CASUAL DAY

If you or your organization would like to support our Day of Caring without adopting a project, we encourage you to order and wear your "25th Day of Caring" shirt on the day of the event, snap a pic, and tag us on social media! To place a Casual Day order click here.

This is what to expect on Day of Event:

BREAKFAST: Our campaign kickoff breakfast will start at 7:30 am at the Boaz Recreation Center, 400 Elizabeth Street, Boaz, AL. Volunteers will complete projects after the breakfast.
Don't forget to wear your 2022 Day of Caring t-shirt to show your support!
Please make sure you have coordinated details (time, address, tools, etc.) with your adopted agency prior to the event.
Take lots of pictures wearing your "25th Day of Caring" shirts and share them with us on Facebook, or email them to raquel@unitedwaymarshall.org. Use hashtags like #LiveUnited #DayofCaring and don't forget to tag us.
