2016 Day of Caring and Campaign Kick-off

United Way of Marshall County is inviting companies and organizations to participate in the 19th Annual Day of Caring event to be held Tuesday, September 13, 2016.

Day of Caring is the largest one-day volunteer event held in Marshall County, and you can participae by either forming a volunteer team and adopting a project, purchasing t-shirts and holding a “casual day” at your business or attending our Campaign Kick-Off Breakfast.

By participating in Day of Caring, you will get a firsthand look into the services and programs being provided every day at nonprofit agencies. When you volunteer, you not only benefit from giving your time to help others, but you also learn how your contributions to United Way’s annual campaign are being invested into our community.

Please view the Day of Caring Project List which highlights over 100 projects available for adoption this year. If you are interested in adopting a project, please contact Lauren Walker at lauren@unitedwaymarshall.org or call (256) 582-4700 for a Project Request Form and return it to via email or fax at (256) 582-4779 no later than Friday, August 19.

There are several new projects this year which are marked on the list. Some projects will be selected quickly so you are advised to adopt your preference as soon as possible. All volunteers that adopt a hands-on project are entitled to a free t-shirt and breakfast ticket.

Please feel free to contact the United Way office with any questions. United Way is looking forward to the best Day of Caring event yet!

Thank you for your support and for making a difference in our community!
